The Happiest Bus on Earth

Who would not love to see the bus pull up? I love how every detail is taken care of when it comes to Disney. Even the hour bus ride from the airport to the cruise terminal is fun.  As you board the bus, you are asked to find a seat and get comfy.. Once the bus pulls away you are immersed with Disney trivia, songs, and cartoons. Once the bus is about 20 minutes away, a fun little DVD about your cruise is started. Once this DVD is over you can see the ship in the distance. And it is picture time.  SO make sure to have those camera's ready. Now, you are making Disney memories.  Thanks B for the use of your pictures.

The Disney Dream-- A Grand Enterance

I will have to say that my words and pictures will not even give you and idea of how grand this ship is. To be able to smell the newness of this ship is indescribable. So see the grand lobby, the larger than my house chandler, the character carvings in the stair cases, and the beautiful colors, is even overwhelming to me. I have to set the scene for you. We are in the Disney Cruise Terminal, waiting for our assigned letter to be called. As we wait we are greeted by (I will blog about character experiences later) Minnie, Mickey and Goofy. Finally, it is our time to get on this grand ship. We walk up the glass walk way and we hear "The Disney Dream would like to welcome Classic Travel Connection". We all squeal like little girls, and we are here. We are on the newest and best ship in the travel industry. Oh, it is good to be the Zip-a-dee-doo-dah Diva. I love my job!!!

Star Wars Weekends

STAR WARS WEEKENDS  -- Since 1997,  Walt Disney World  has sponsored a series of special  Star Wars Weekends  in the  Disney's Hollywood Studios  theme park. Activities normally include celebrity appearances, as well as trivia contests and prize give-aways,  Star Tours  "ride-a-thons," and a  Star Wars  Cantina street party, complete with a live disc jockey. During  Star Wars Weekends , celebrities from all the  Star Wars  films are on hand for motorcades and star conversations, as well as autograph sessions. Actors featured over the years include  Carrie Fisher  (Princess Leia),  Jake Lloyd  (young Anakin Skywalker),  David Prowse  (Darth Vader),  Kenny Baker  (R2D2),  Peter Mayhew  (Chewbacca), and  Anthony Daniels  (C3PO) among others. Lots of costumed characters, from  Luke Skywalker  and  Queen Amidala  to  Ewoks  and  Jawas , can also be found milling about the park, with plenty of opportunities for  Star Wars  fans to meet and greet them. ______________________

Bongos, Cuban Cafe

Among many places in "The World" this is one of my favorite's. We have to make a stop every trip so I can get an empanada or 2, maybe 3. I also love the price. As you can see this is the least expensive a family can eat in Disney. This lovely place is located in Downtown Disney on the Westside. The only downside, if you consider this a downside, this is not included on the Disney Dining Plan. However, I think I can manage $2.25. You would not want to waste a meal on the dining plan for $2.25. If you are ever in the Downtown Disney area make sure to stop by Bongos. You will be so glad you did!!

Special Celebration Add On's

I do love Disney for so many different reasons. At Disney, you can celebrate your birthday any day of the year. We went to Disney the end of November and celebrated our daughters birthday, which was in October. Below is a goodie bag that you can purchase for 10 extra dollars. Inside was such fun goodies. Which included a Mickey straw, magnets, a birthday crown, and various other fun celebration things. When making dining reservations ,when the Zip-a-dee-doo-dah Diva makes them for you, ask for the Celebration Goodie bag option. Most people have no idea it is even available. How much fun to have a little surprise at an already magical place!!!!! An absolute must with any Disney trip, free cup cakes. We do this every time we go. It is so much fun to have  Happy Birthday sung to you , and get a fun free cup cake. All you have to do is tell the person that checks you in at any Disney restaurant that you are celebrating.  Also, something to consider, ask for a cup cake when celebrating

The New Fantasyland, opening late 2012

Among the highlights planned: Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid , a major, all-new attraction during which guests will travel with Ariel and her friends through their exciting adventures above and below the waves – all against a musical backdrop of songs from the classic film. The castle of the Beast, standing majestically upon a hill just across an old stone bridge from Ariel’s new home.  The Be Our Guest Restaurant  will feature a lavish dining experience in the elegant ballroom, gallery, and mysterious “West Wing” of the castle. With seating for 550, this magnificent facility will offer “great food fast” service by day and full table service dining in the evening. Nearby in Belle's Village, guests will find the rousing Gaston’s Tavern and Bonjour! Village Gifts. Just outside the village is  Belle’s cottage and Enchanted Tales with Belle . The adventure begins in Maurice’s workshop, where a magical mirror is the doorway to a captivating new kind of storytelling ex
