Have you ever dreamed of traveling to a galaxy Far Far Away or maybe being in a world where you seem as small as a toy? Well if so, then the new expansions at Walt Disney World Hollywood Studios should bring your fantasies to life.

Toy Story Land

The new area simply label Toy Story Land from Disney Pixar’s hit movie series Toy Story, You can enter a world and seem as small as your Buzz Lightyear or Woody action figures. New rides coming to this area will be a Slinky Dog Roller Coaster and an Alien Swirling Saucers. In Alien Swirling Saucers, guest will find themselves feeling like a toy in the claw game at the local arcade swirling around the area trying to avoid being caught. I would imagine the Slinky Dog Roller Coaster to have the similar design as that of the new Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train at Disney’s Magical Kingdom. Another area I’m excited about is the area taking the place of the former Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. The new area will be remodeled to give guests the appearance they are in Andy’s Room climbing letter blocks and sliding down toy car tracks.

Star Wars Land

Star Wars Land, different from Toy Story Land, will be appearing on both coasts.  Here guests will enter George Lucas’ mind of the Star Wars Galaxy.  There will be two new signature attractions coming to Star Wars Land. In one, guests will pilot the infamous Millennium Falcon, while for the other attraction guests will be allowed to battle the First Order as well as other enemies in a virtual simulation.  And for those who enjoy sitting down for meal during the chaos of the parks then you will enjoy sitting down at the new Table Service restaurant that will be located with in Star Wars Land. Another area that appears to be coming is the infamous Mos Eisley Cantina from Star Wars Episode IV: New Hope.

While Disney Toy Story Land has nothing confirmed the rumored opening is Summer 2018. Disney has confirmed Star Wars Land for both Walt Disney World Hollywood Studios and Disneyland will open in 2019.

One of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World during Christmas is to visit the deluxe resorts.  Each resort is decorated in it’s own unique way.  The Grand Floridian features a life sized gingerbread house in it’s lobby.  When you walk in, you can smell the gingerbread…yum!!  Here’s a time lapse video of how the magic happens at the Grand Floridian! https://youtu.be/Si2pcosZjbk
If you’re looking for a yummy but healthy breakfast or lunch on Disney property, Capt. Cooks has the best avocado toast! It is covered with fresh avocado, egg, arugula, tomatoes, goat cheese, salt & pepper. Definitely a must try if you’re at the Polynesian Resort!
