I’m often surprised by my two year old’s reaction to things.
For instance, he’s terrified of his Mr. Potato Head that’s dressed up as a
Storm Trooper. But when we took him to the Launch Bay in Hollywood Studios, he
walked right up to Kylo Ren and told him he loved him.
I get asked if taking a child under a certain age to Disney
World is a good idea.
The answer?
Of course it is.
There’s a few reasons why and I’ve decided to list them out
here for the client who is on the fence about taking their child to Disney
World due to their young age.
1.
THEY GET IN FOR FREE.
If you like paying full price for a child
because ‘they won’t remember it if they’re babies’ be my guest. As for my
family, we will utilize the under three free ticket as long as we can.
2.
THE CHARACTER INTERACTIONS
This is often debated but as for my child,
he loves every character that walks the grounds of Walt Disney World. As stated
before, he ran straight up to Kylo Ren. An even more priceless moment? When we
went to eat at Tusker House and all the characters came straight to our table.
I had been playing Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on our television for about six
months prior so this child would know Mickey. And BOY DID HE. In fact, he hugged him for several minutes.
Mickey Mouse didn’t want to let him go!
He played Peek a Boo with Donald Duck and blew several kisses to Daisy
(sorry Donald).
So to the parents who told me my child
would be terrified of the characters, a big HAHA to you (in the most loving
way).
3.
THE NAPS
Okay. Let’s be honest here. The moment when
your child lays their head down for a nap after a long day is almost as magical
as Disney World itself. Just imagine the epic nap your child would take after
romping around a theme park all day. Spoiler Alert: It’s a LONG one.
4.
THE RIDES
Rides in Disney are fun for everyone of
course. I’ll admit I’ve ridden Dumbo hundreds of times childless but there’s
just something about the look on a child’s face the first time they ride a Walt
Disney World ride.
5.
THE MEMORIES
Will your two year old remember their first
epic trip to Disney World? Probably not. But YOU will. You’ll always have those
memories (and the photos) to look back on. Nothing brings a family closer
together than a trip to Walt Disney World no matter the age.
So there you have it. Five amazing reasons
why you should take your child to Disney World regardless of their age. Let’s
start planning!
