The year I
graduated from college, my mom and I began taking trips together. It started out as a long weekend to
Chicago. We didn’t do them every year. Sometimes work and family matters came
first. In the span of 19 years, we made
some amazing trips. We went to Seattle,
Walt Disney World (in December – you have to go for the Christmas decorations),
Destin, US Virgin Islands, Jackson Hole (Yellowstone & Grand Tetons),
Alaska (multiple times) and Rapid City (Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood,
Badlands, Sturgis & more).
If you haven’t
given thought to a mother/daughter trip, I would recommend it. Whether to a local hotel for a little escape
or something larger, the memories you create are priceless. You never know when your mom/daughter may
become your best friend. Who knows? You may have a few “Lucy & Ethel” moments
like my mom and I have shared. Oh the
stories we could tell you.
Think about a trip
you could take with your mother/daughter.
If you need suggestions, your Memory Maker can provide a few for you.
