Sandals Questions and Answers

Q & A Sandals Vacation

Do you ever wish you had some first hand experience when deciding on your next vacation spot?  Do you fear stepping out and trying something new only to be disappointed?
We asked a few questions to a recent Sandals traveler about their first hand experience to one of the many Sandals resorts.   We hope this quick Q&A eases your mind!

Q: When was your last trip to a Sandals resort?
A: July 2015

Q: Which Sandals resort did you visit?
A: Sandals Emerald Bay in Great Exuma, Bahamas

Q: Was this your first visit to a Sandals resort?
A: Yes

Q: How did you decide on which property to visit?
A: We were looking for a place that would allow us to be low key and not force us to be on the go all the time.  Emerald Bay was it!

Q: Did you have to decide between different Sandals properties?
A: We did our research on all of them.   We were deciding between Barbados, Grenada, and Emerald Bay.  We decided on Emerald Bay because all of the rooms were concierge level or greater.

Q: Once you arrived at the airport, how long was your transfer from the airport to the resort?
A: Maybe, 15-20 minutes, it was a really pretty drive.  We enjoyed the scenery, so we were a little distracted!

Q: What were your initial thoughts about the property when you arrived?
A: Everything was very well maintained and the staff was amazingly helpful! We definitely were not disappointed!

Q: What size was the property?  Did it require a lot of walking to get from your room to all of the activities and restaurants?
A: Everything was centrally located, but there were a few stops and pools right by our room.  We walked the entire property one night; it didn’t take long at all!

Q: In comparing your accommodations with past travels, how did Sandals accommodations meet your expectations?
A: They were phenomenal! The room was very large and spacious! And the bathroom was huge!

Q: What category room did you book?
A: Beach House Honeymoon Grande Luxe Club Level Room

Q: Where the restaurants were your favorite?
A: Drunken Duck and Barefoot by the Sea! We went to the Drunken Duck daily, it was so much fun! Barefoot by the Sea was so relaxing eating on the beach.

Q: Are there any activities that are a must-do?
A: Swimming with the pigs!! Hands-down! It was extra money, but we would pay money to do it again! We went hiking, snorkeling and swam with the pigs! It was so cool!

Q: Were there any extra expenses while you were on property other than your excursions?
A: Other than souvenirs and excursions, no.  Even our tips were taken care of ahead of time!

Q: Would you do a Sandals vacation again?
A: Yes! We booked our trip immediately following our vacation. We are off to Grenada in June!

Q: Is there anything you would want future travelers to know about Sandals?

A: You can make your vacation exactly what you want! It can be as low key or jam-packed, as you want it to be! There is always something going on, you’ll never be bored!
