Memories

I remember our family vacations with great fondness. It took a lot of work on my parent’s behalf for those to be possible, and I realize that now as an adult. As a kid, I treasured those getaways. Now grown, I hold those memories close to my heart. We typically went to the beach. There were trips to other places like New York, Washington, D.C., etc., as well.

My parents gave me a treasure trove of memories, and I’m extremely grateful for each one. I don’t know how they survived those long car rides with my endless questions of, “Are we there yet?” and “How much longer?”

Things will be pushed to the side, damaged or not even wanted. Those little ones and not so little ones will soon be grown and out on their own. The sacrifice is worth it. You can’t get this time back. Create memories to your family. They will be with your loved ones much longer.

One of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World during Christmas is to visit the deluxe resorts.  Each resort is decorated in it’s own unique way.  The Grand Floridian features a life sized gingerbread house in it’s lobby.  When you walk in, you can smell the gingerbread…yum!!  Here’s a time lapse video of how the magic happens at the Grand Floridian! https://youtu.be/Si2pcosZjbk
If you’re looking for a yummy but healthy breakfast or lunch on Disney property, Capt. Cooks has the best avocado toast! It is covered with fresh avocado, egg, arugula, tomatoes, goat cheese, salt & pepper. Definitely a must try if you’re at the Polynesian Resort!
