What to do on a non-park day?

I often get asked by clients, “On our first day (or last) we won’t have time to visit a theme park, what are some things we can do to have fun?”  There is so much to do on Walt Disney World property and a lot of it is included for you as a resort guest!  Here are some fun ideas to explore Walt Disney World outside the theme parks...

Mini golf - There are two great courses on property! {there is an extra fee for this}

Resort hop - Hop on the monorail and check out the beautiful resorts around Seven Seas Lagoon or go explore a resort you might want to stay at for your next trip.

Bowling - Yes, you can bowl at Splitsville at Disney Springs! {there is an extra fee for this}
Swim! - Your Disney resort features a fun pool that your kids will love!

Disney Springs - Disney’s newly redesigned shopping and entertainment complex has so much to do for the whole family - shopping, food, movie theater, bowling, and so much more!

There’s so much to do at WDW outside the theme parks!

One of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World during Christmas is to visit the deluxe resorts.  Each resort is decorated in it’s own unique way.  The Grand Floridian features a life sized gingerbread house in it’s lobby.  When you walk in, you can smell the gingerbread…yum!!  Here’s a time lapse video of how the magic happens at the Grand Floridian! https://youtu.be/Si2pcosZjbk
If you’re looking for a yummy but healthy breakfast or lunch on Disney property, Capt. Cooks has the best avocado toast! It is covered with fresh avocado, egg, arugula, tomatoes, goat cheese, salt & pepper. Definitely a must try if you’re at the Polynesian Resort!
