Did you know that you can get a personalized birthday phone message straight to your room from Mickey himself. So if you are celebrating that big day for your little boy or girl while in Disney, make sure you tell your memory maker today. They will get it all setup for you. Watching your child’s face as they hear the voice of their favorite mouse will make your day. Trust me, you will definitely want to do it! Xoxo,  Your Memory Maker Lauren
Have you seen these pink buildings while exploring Nassau? Here’s a little history behind them! The buildings in Parliament Square were constructed in 1815 by the Loyalists. They are modeled after buildings that are found in New Bern, the old capital of North Carolina. These flamingo-pink government buildings are excellent examples of the colonial architecture of old Nassau. The building to the right is the House of Assembly where parliamentary meetings are held. The Senate meets upstairs in the center building and the building to the left houses the office of the Leader of the Opposition. Queen Victoria's Statue, erected in 1905 from funds donated by the public who held her in high esteem, is in the front of the Senate building. Located at the back of the Senate building is the Supreme Court which occupied this present building since 1921. This is where quarterly sessions of the Bahamas Superior Court and sessions of The Court of Appeal sit. Judges and lawyers are dre...
Walt Disney World is full of great little spots to grab a drink and a snack. Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at the Polynesian Village Resort is one my favorite places to escape the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. Here, you can enjoy the fun inside (I won’t spoil the surprises!) or you can sit outside on the patio and enjoy the sounds of the nearby waterfall.  My favorite snack is the Poke with chips. Yum!
A Cool Quick Service Restaurant that Families Will Enjoy: Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom It serves delicious barbecue parents will love and yummy kids meals. If you follow the path behind the restaurant down to the end, you will find an eating area pavilion with a spectacular view of Mount Everest. Your Memory Maker, Leanna XOXOXO
Be a Local D o you have an upcoming trip planned? Whether you’re spending two weeks in Europe or headed to the next state over for a weekend getaway, there are plenty of ways to make the most of your travel this spring. Here are my favorite tips to help you go from timid tourist to confident traveler in no time. Take Public Transit Depending on where you’re visiting; public transit can be a fun and inexpensive way to get around. As a rule of thumb, only take transit during the day and read up on safety before you go. Keep your personal belongings close to you and carry a map of the transit system. Buy Meaningful Mementos How many times have we bought tacky souvenirs that we’re almost embarrassed to show anyone? Head to a local market and pick out items that will truly represent the local spirit. Or better, forego the extra expense and document your trip with beautiful photos instead. Keep a Diary Along with great photos; document your trip with a travel journal ...
“Mary Poppins Returns” Christmas 2018                 One of the most beloved movies in Disney history is returning to the big screen this holiday season. “Mary Poppins Returns” stars Emily Blunt as the practically-perfect nanny with unique magical skills who can turn any task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure. The original Poppins movie hit the big screen in 1964 and was one of the last movies released before the passing of Walt Disney.                  The movie will incorporate a star studded cast including Meryl Streep as Mary’s eccentric cousin, Topsy, Angela Lansbury as the Balloon Lady, a treasured character from the PL Travers books and Dick Van Dyke as Mr. Dawes Jr., the retired chairman of the bank. The film is directed by Rob Marshall from a screenplay by David Magee and screen story by Magee & Marshall ...
I know we talk about a lot of the bigger things to try at Disney World, but I want to share one of my favorite secrets! I don't typically drink soft drinks, but when I'm on vacation, I always splurge! The absolute best old fashioned soft drinks on Disney property can be found at Beaches & Cream at The Beach Club Resort. It is a table serve credit and they serve the best burgers! But you can flavor your coke with vanilla or cherry flavors and they will even give you one to go! It is the sweetest and most flavorful coke you will ever have! Next time you're in Disney this is a must-do!!
