Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!

Just a bit of Disney nostalgia for you.........

Welcome, foolish mortals. Step back in time...if you dare! This year I have a Halloween treat and not a trick for all of you vintage fans out there. Here is a look at The Haunted Mansion while it was still under construction on February 24, 1971. A look at this photo begs to have the following question answered… have the 999 happy haunts already taken up residence, or are they waiting for the mansion to be complete before inhabiting it? If only I could get in touch with Madame Leota.

New Dining Cancellation Policy
To provide consistent Guest service, adjustments will be made to the Walt Disney World® Resort dining cancellation policy beginning on Oct. 26, 2011. At that time, additional table service dining locations will begin using the cancellation policy already in place at select restaurants on property. When booking a reservation at these restaurants, your Clients will be required to provide a credit card to hold a reservation and will be charged $10 per person if a cancellation to this reservation isn’t made at least one day in advance.

This policy will not apply to dining reservations made before Oct. 26, 2011. However, any modifications made to these dining reservations after Oct. 26, 2011, will then be required to provide a credit card to hold the reservation, regardless of what date the reservation was originally booked.

Dining locations participating in the credit card guarantee policy include:
• 1900 Park Fare
• Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
• Artist Point

I Finally Met the Mayor!!!

Why am I so excited about meeting a Mayor? Well, you see, he is not just any old Mayor. He is the Mayor of the Magic Kingdom. That's right!!! Magic Kingdom, Main Street to be exact!! I have always wanted to meet him. I know it sounds kind of crazy, but I have. Finally, after all these years..... I meet him and have my picture made. He is what he looks like. Warm, fuzzy, can't wait to shake you hand and give you a hug. If you want to meet him, make sure to hang around Main Street in the morning to noon time. He will walk around, shake hands, kiss babies, and take pictures. Just like any other politician. Except..... he is really magical!!!!

Animal Kingdom Lodge, Kidani Village

I recently stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Kidani Village. I really enjoyed my time here! We stayed in a Studio. I liked the space the studio offered. However, I wish more storage would have been available. I requested to be close to the elevator because it  is a very large resort. I recommend calling ahead (I always do this for my clients) and requesting a room close to the elevator. If not, you will walk a very long way to your room after a very long day in the parks. We enjoyed how quiet this resort was. I like to leave the craziness of the parks behind at night. I felt like I could escape when I stayed here. You know you are still at Disney because of how wonderfully clean everything stays and the beautiful theme. No where on this earth can make you believe you are in the middle of Africa when you are in Florida, except for Disney.

A very spacious vanity in the bathroom. The only change I would make in the bathroom would be more hooks. We needed ho…
