Animal Kingdom Lodge, Kidani Village

I recently stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Kidani Village. I really enjoyed my time here! We stayed in a Studio. I liked the space the studio offered. However, I wish more storage would have been available. I requested to be close to the elevator because it  is a very large resort. I recommend calling ahead (I always do this for my clients) and requesting a room close to the elevator. If not, you will walk a very long way to your room after a very long day in the parks. We enjoyed how quiet this resort was. I like to leave the craziness of the parks behind at night. I felt like I could escape when I stayed here. You know you are still at Disney because of how wonderfully clean everything stays and the beautiful theme. No where on this earth can make you believe you are in the middle of Africa when you are in Florida, except for Disney.

This couch folds out into a bed.

A very spacious vanity in the bathroom. The only change I would make in the bathroom would be more hooks. We needed hooks or more towel racks.

I love the little African inspirations in this room.

A really great bonus with staying in a Studio, is the DVD player. I was with my daughter who is 3. She likes to watch TV as she is going to sleep. I made sure to bring a few of her favorite DVD's.Another really great bonus to this resort and all Disney Vacation Club Resorts, would be the DVD library.  In the gift shop was a library of movies we could check out.

Attention to detail is what Disney is know best for. I love that even the tile in the shower has an African flair.
I really, really, really love that the toilet area is separate and has a door that closes for privacy.
The view from our balcony.

The view alone is worth the trip to this wonderful place. We loved waking up and seeing this!!!

The little kitchenette comes fully equipped to help you make a great snack when you have that late night hunger after you return from the parks. The mini fridge, toaster, and microwave really makes breakfast a snap.

I am a sucker for a hidden Mickey!! This one was on our carpet in our room. I just love the little details!!!

To get any type of Quick Service meals, you would have to catch a shuttle to the Jambo House. We did because we were not looking for a Sit Down restaurant, we needed something quick. I did enjoy our food here. It just took a little time to catch the shuttle and walk through the resort to get to this quick service location.

Zebra Domes, ah yes!! These yummy treats make the travel time not so bad!!!

Happy Birthday Mickey!

Did you know today is Mickey's Birthday? Although his personality has evolved and changed over the years, kids' and families' love for Mickey has remained as popular as ever. From being the mischievous and adventurous troublemaker when he was first created, to a lovable, cheerful hero, Mickey has always been known as a universal symbol of friendship and family values. Walt, on his first television show as he surveyed Disneyland said,  "I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing... that it was all started by a Mouse."  This famous Mickey Mouse, made his screen debut on November 18 several decades back as the star of the first sound cartoon, Steamboat Willie, and has, since then, become an indelible icon. He is not only the personification of everything Disney, but also one of the most universal symbols of magical childhood memories for kids across the world. "Mickey is the world's most lovable mouse who epitomizes all that makes Disney special...

The Disney Dream-- A Grand Enterance

I will have to say that my words and pictures will not even give you and idea of how grand this ship is. To be able to smell the newness of this ship is indescribable. So see the grand lobby, the larger than my house chandler, the character carvings in the stair cases, and the beautiful colors, is even overwhelming to me. I have to set the scene for you. We are in the Disney Cruise Terminal, waiting for our assigned letter to be called. As we wait we are greeted by (I will blog about character experiences later) Minnie, Mickey and Goofy. Finally, it is our time to get on this grand ship. We walk up the glass walk way and we hear "The Disney Dream would like to welcome Classic Travel Connection". We all squeal like little girls, and we are here. We are on the newest and best ship in the travel industry. Oh, it is good to be the Zip-a-dee-doo-dah Diva. I love my job!!!
