Why Cruise with Disney

Have you ever wanted to go on an all-inclusive vacation?  Do you like to lay by the pool and soak in the sun on your days off?  Do you like to visit multiple locations on your travels?  What if I told you one trip could have all those things?  I have one word for you: CRUISE!

Three of your favorite Divas just sailed on the new Re-imagined Magic.  Disney Cruise line built their first ship in 1998.  In April of 2013, the Magic was dry docked and completely renovated.  Her cabins, restaurants, lounges, lounges, and spas were updated.  The kids' areas aboard were given special attention to ensure the guest that sailed on her would have a truly magical time.

Why Cruise?
A cruise provides variety within a family vacation that can please every member of the family.

  • If you like to travel to multiple destinations within one vacation, cruises stop of multiple ports of call during one sailing.  Which and how many ports the ships visit varies from ship to ship and cruise line to cruise line.  The duration of the individual cruise will also determine ports of call.
  • If you like to lay by the pool and lounge on your time off, cruises allow you to participate in only the parts of the itinerary that interest you most. If there are activities aboard that you would like to skip, grab a chair by the pool and relax.  You do not even have to leave the ship when it docks in certain cities.
  • The best part of all about cruises is that once you board, you can lock your wallet in your room safe and forget about it.  Food, drinks, and entertainment are all included!  Aside from shopping and extra excursions at ports of call, you can relax and be pampered by all the delicacies and fun the crew has planned for you.
Why Disney?
  • Because Disney means quality!  Disney prides itself in being the best at everything they do - from movies, to amusement parks, to family vacations.
  • Disney has special areas of the ship that are for kids only.  You can drop off your smaller sailors at one of three different "Kids' Clubs" aboard the ships, each designed with a different age group in mind.
    • It's a Small World Nursery caters to children 3 months to 3 years old.  This is one of the rare features that requires an additional charge.  You must also make reservations for this service and space if very limited.

    • Oceaneer's Club and Lab is designed for kids between the ages of 3 and 12.  If your sailor wants to play like one of the toys in Andy's room, pretend to be fairy in Pixie Hollow, or train to be a super hero in the Marvel Academy, you don't want to miss this area of the ship.  There are also special areas to watch movies, play video games, and draw like Disney animators.  This is also the best place to spend some time with your favorite characters aboard ship!

    • Edge is an area designated for 11 to 14 year olds.  These buccaneers have a video game area, plush couches for watching movies, karaoke, scavenger hunts around the ship and theme nights.
    • Vibe is for the more sophisticated mateys between the ages of 14 and 17.  Activities for your teen include video games, karaoke, port adventures, downtime and dance parties.  There is even a spa just for teens - Chill Spa!!
  • Now for those of you sailing without kids, there are places reserved just for adults!
    • Quiet Cove is a pool area for adults only.  The pool is always heated to 75 degrees and there is poolside dining available.
    • Senses Spa and Salon has everything you need to relax.  Some services offered are massages, saunas, manicures/pedicures, and showers with men and women's locker room - just in case you don't want to go all the way back to your room after working out in the gym overlooking the ocean.

    • After Hours is a section of the ship with clubs ranging from Pubs with games to a lounge with various entertainment acts to a piano bar.

  • Disney likes to cater to each individual that sails on their ships, but they love to serve the family as a whole.  There are parties on deck, character meet and greets, movie theaters playing new releases, Broadway-style musicals, amazing restaurants, and pool areas with some of the craziest slides on the seas.  Disney even has their own private island full of adventure!  At Castaway Key you can race crabs, para-sail, cheer each other across the finish line in the Castaway Cay 5K, and so much more!

There are so many options out there for next cruise adventure.  We would love to help your family decide which ship is best for your family.  When you are ready, the divas want to help you make memories that will last a lifetime.

One of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World during Christmas is to visit the deluxe resorts.  Each resort is decorated in it’s own unique way.  The Grand Floridian features a life sized gingerbread house in it’s lobby.  When you walk in, you can smell the gingerbread…yum!!  Here’s a time lapse video of how the magic happens at the Grand Floridian! https://youtu.be/Si2pcosZjbk
