Top Insider Tips From
Volcano Bay Water Park
Ø
Wear water shoes! Despite how inviting the sandy
white beaches at Waturi
Beach look, the sand is harsh! The sand is more on the gritty side,
which was greatly uncomfortable.
Ø
If you are looking to stay on the dry side while
floating on Kopiko Wai Winding River… THINK AGAIN! This
“lazy river” is anything but! It moves swiftly and has waterfalls that you can
NOT dodge. You WILL get soaked! Be prepared!!
Ø
If you have our luck, rain/thunder/lighting
showers will follow you to the park. Of course it’s a waterpark and a little
rain doesn’t hurt, but lighting strikes will shut everything down. They must
have a space of thirty minutes without strikes to re-open. If another strike
occurs, the thirty minutes will start over. No one is allowed in the water or
on any rides during this time. There is plenty of covered seating near the
enterace/exit, along with dining!
Ø
If you take advantage of early admission to the
park (if staying at a Universal Resort), keep in mind that not all areas will
be open. On our trip, the Runamukka
Reef area for the little ones was not fully open until mid-morning.
Ø
Cabanas book early!!!!!!!!! They were completely
SOLD OUT at the park opening the day we were there. Most likely, you need be
book day(s) before. They are very beautiful and located all over the park!
There are only a few located in the “kids” area so put those request in EARLY!
Some of the more private ones that I found are located along the Kopiko Wai Winding
River
There are “Selfie Spots” located throughout the
park! You only need to scan your Tapu Tapu! The photos are then added to your
univers
