We highly recommend experiencing an After Hours Event the next time you are visiting the Mouse!!

After Hours is currently available on select dates at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.  This is a separate ticketed event that allow you time at a theme park when there are a very limited number of guests there.  We attended the After Hours event at Hollywood Studios.  If you’re already in the park at the start of the event, you simply go to the distribution spot in the park to get your wristband for the event - in this case it was at the ticket office at the corner of Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards.  If you’re coming into the park, you’ll go to a special turnstile where they’ll scan your Magic Band and give you your wristband.

Once you’re in the park, you can enjoy unlimited Mickey Bars and Ice Cream Sandwiches, popcorn, sodas and bottle waters.  If you’re wanting something more substantial that’s available for purchase as well.  There were so many character interactions available during our After Hours Event including some especially for the 30th Anniversary.  The best part of the event is the shorter wait times for rides.  There was a 5 minute wait for every attractions that participated - Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, Toy Story Mania, Star Tours, Rockin Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror.

While paying extra for an event might be sometime you’re not a fan of, an After Hours event can be a great way to get a lot done in a short amount of time and it’s at night which can help a lot during those warm summer months in Orlando!

One of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World during Christmas is to visit the deluxe resorts.  Each resort is decorated in it’s own unique way.  The Grand Floridian features a life sized gingerbread house in it’s lobby.  When you walk in, you can smell the gingerbread…yum!!  Here’s a time lapse video of how the magic happens at the Grand Floridian! https://youtu.be/Si2pcosZjbk
